Michael Porter Jr. Speaks Out About Recent Trade Rumors

The Denver Nuggets haven’t been very good this season.

Two years removed from an NBA championship, Mike Malone’s team hasn’t been able to find sustained success.

That’s why there have been a lot of rumors about some potential moves.

Even Michael Porter Jr. acknowledged that the team would likely have to make trades if they didn’t resolve the situation.

With that in mind, he was recently asked about his feelings about being linked to trade rumors.

The former Missouri player admitted that while the front office has not informed him about a potential trade, he doesn’t think they would give him a heads-up if that were to happen.

“They've reached out to me and said it's all noise… They have no desire to move me right now. But I also know they wouldn't tell me if they wanted to move me.”

That depends on the organization.

We’ve seen multiple instances of players who are explicitly told that they won’t be traded, only to find out they’re on the move shortly after.

Porter was valuable to their championship, but he hasn’t been much better ever since.

While he has the potential to be a dominant scorer, he has yet to become the superstar some thought he would be.

He’s also dealt with multiple injuries throughout his career, which have affected his potential trade value.

However, while one-dimensional, he’s very young and offensively gifted, so if the Nuggets were to consider making a move and gauging his trade value, several teams would be monitoring his situation.
