Mario Chalmers spent nearly a decade playing in the NBA and worked closely with many superstars.
He remains a diehard basketball fan and has an opinion about who is the greatest NBA player of all time.
Chalmers recently revealed his choice for GOAT and, surprisingly, it’s not the man he won two championships with.
“When you talk to people—guys I played with, guys who played before me—they all say the same thing. With Jordan? It was fear. They called him ‘Black Jesus.’ They called him ‘Black Cat.’ There was a different stigma that came with playing against MJ. That’s just not the same with Bron. Now, don’t get it twisted—Bron’s the best overall player you could want as a superstar. Physically gifted, can do everything on the court. But my GOAT? The guy I’d want to live and die with in a big moment? That’s Jordan. That’s just me,” Chalmers said, per NBACentral.
Mario Chalmers says Michael Jordan is the GOAT over LeBron James because more people feared Jordan

For Chalmers, this debate is all about who is feared more.
While all NBA players are scared of playing against LeBron James, it is not the same as how they felt about Michael Jordan.
Chalmers went out of his way to praise James and call him “the best overall player you could want as a superstar,” but that doesn’t mean he’s the greatest to ever play the game.
He is pointing out ideas that other people have said before.
They claim that Jordan was just built differently and the amount of fear he struck into the hearts of his opponents cannot be replicated.
That being said, James is also a terrifying competitor and Chalmers knows that very well because he played with him for years.
Chalmers was part of the Miami Heat team that won two championships in 2012 and 2013.
He was able to work closely with James, admire his game, and learn quite a few pointers from him.
He grew very close to James but still thinks Jordan outranks him in this debate.
