Barcelona, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly keeping an eye on Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Contract extension talks between the Georgian winger and Napoli have seemingly stalled, potentially opening the door for a transfer in 2025.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, PSG and Barcelona are intensifying their pursuit of Kvaratskhelia, increasing the pressure on Napoli to finalize a deal before next summer.
Meanwhile, journalist Graeme Bailey shared with Rousing the Kop that Liverpool is also tracking Kvaratskhelia as part of its contingency plans for a possible Mohamed Salah departure.
Manchester City prepared to enter the Khvicha Kvaratskhelia race
According to Fichajes, Manchester City are exploring ways to strengthen their attack, especially on the wings, due to the inconsistent performances of Jack Grealish and Jérémy Doku.
The report claims that City have already reached out to the representatives of Napoli winger Kvaratskhelia and view themselves as strong contenders for his signature.
Described as a “perfect” fit for Pep Guardiola’s side, Kvaratskhelia is valued at £83 million (€100 million/$105.8 million). However, the Premier League champions are reportedly prepared to pay whatever it takes to secure the talented winger.
If Manchester City does enter the race, it’s a crowded one as Barcelona are actively considering ways to bolster their attack, with Sport recently reporting that Kvaratskhelia is their top target for next summer, ahead of Rafael Leão. This focus means Nico Williams is not currently in their plans.
Meanwhile, Sport Mediaset claims Manchester United are prepared to challenge Napoli for the Georgian winger. The report indicates that sporting director Dan Ashworth is ready to offer Kvaratskhelia a five-year contract worth €8 million net annually. This breaks down to £128,500 per week after tax, amounting to a total of £33.4 million across the deal.
