The NBA All-Star Weekend is just weeks away which means the Slam Dunk Contest is right around the corner.
We now know which players will try to rattle the rim, and a two-time champion is returning.
On Monday, Shams Charania reported that Mac McClung has committed to the Slam Dunk Contest in San Francisco and will attempt to earn a three-peat as he competes against his opponents: Stephon Castle, Matas Buzelis, and Andre Jackson Jr.

McClung has blown people away during the last two dunk contests with his amazing feats on the court.
Last year, he left jaws on the floor when he dunked over Shaquille O’Neal and earned his second dunk contest championship.
As a reminder, McClung is 6-foot-2 while O’Neal is 7-foot-1.
McClung has had a lot of luck in the dunk contests, but he hasn’t had as much success sticking with one team in the NBA.
He signed a two-way contract with the Orlando Magic in October and has only played in one game for them this year.
He has previously played for the Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, and Philadelphia 76ers and has a career average of 6.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists.
McClung has always been trying to break into the NBA in a big way, but it’s been a tough road for him, and he has remained a G-League mainstay.
But his appearances at the dunk contests have been outstanding, and the biggest names in the game have praised him, patted his back, and celebrated his skills.
Can McClung impress them all again this year and leave an everlasting mark on the annual event?
