Sevilla’s Loïc Badé has been turning heads with his standout performances, especially after impressing for France at the Summer Olympics.
With Milan Skriniar now at Fenerbahçe SK, Paris Saint-Germain may be on the lookout for a new center-back, either in January or next summer.
Badé’s rise hasn’t gone unnoticed, as French national team coach Didier Deschamps included him in the squad for the October international break, signaling his increasing importance.
Top clubs are keeping an eye on the defender, with a previous report from SPORT revealing that Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and PSG all showed interest last fall.
Recently, Diario AS added Liverpool to the list of suitors, reporting that the Premier League club see him as a possible successor to Virgil van Dijk. Scouts from Liverpool were even spotted at Sevilla’s match against Barcelona at Montjuïc in October.
Loïc Badé will not be leaving Sevilla despite the rumors
On Saturday, Badé confirmed that the Aston Villa deal is off: “I’m staying at Sevilla, yes. I fully trust this project.”
