LeBron Reveals He Took Playing In NFL ‘Super-Duper Serious’

LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers has done so many astonishing things during his lengthy NBA career that it feels like he is capable of anything.

But could he ever have had a career as an NFL star?

Talking with the Kelce brothers on “New Heights,” James admitted that there was a period of time when he was serious about trying to make it in the NFL.

“The only time I’ve ever taken it like super-duper serious … I think it was 2011 when we had the NBA lockout,” James said. “I was still young enough to get out there with y’all.”

Of course, James never actually tried to make it on the field but has remained a devoted fan.

With four NBA championships, four NBA MVP awards, 20 All-Star appearances and an assured place in the Basketball Hall of Fame, James has done it all in the NBA.

But he also has never denied that he would love to play in the NFL.

He played football in high school and feels he had what it takes to make a mark as a star in that sport as well.

At this point, that wouldn’t be surprising, because it feels like James can do anything he puts his mind to.

Of course, any chance of playing in the NFL is all but gone now that he is 40 years old.

But he can remain involved in the league and perhaps become a co-owner of a team.

He has already tried his hand at team ownership, so maybe he can put money into an NFL franchise.

It’s not the same as playing, but it may be as close as James can get.
