The Los Angeles Lakers have now lost six of their last eight games.
J.J. Redick’s team has struggled mightily against contending teams and may have reached a new low in their road loss to the Miami Heat.
The Lakers lost by 41 points, and some clips of their defensive effort, especially in the second half, left plenty to be desired.
With that in mind, LeBron James was brutally honest about what he sees from his team, and he thinks it all starts with accountability.
Talking to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, the four-time NBA champion claimed that it seemed like everybody was just hoping for the other player to solve everything for them:
“When you’re individually f—ing up and you’re trying to rely on everybody else to cover for you, I think it starts with individuals first. All of us have to take accountability,” he said.

The Lakers aren’t as talented as other teams in the Western Conference.
That means they cannot afford to go through the motions and hope for the best.
This team needs to play harder than other teams simply because they might not have as much on their roster as others.
There’s no substitute for effort and no tactician can lead a team to success unless the players also give their all, night in and night out.
The Lakers will now face two sub-500 teams, the Atlanta Hawks and Portland Trail Blazers, and one would think that they ought to win both of those games.
They’re currently sitting on a 12-10 record and the No. 9 spot in the Western Conference.
It might make sense why Dan Hurley chose not to coach this team in the offseason.
