The Philadelphia 76ers will face the Miami Heat on Monday evening but two former Heat stars won’t be given a warm welcome.
According to Anthony Chiang on X, there will not be tribute videos for Caleb Martin and Kyle Lowry, now of the 76ers, before Monday night’s game.
Chiang said, “The Heat reserves those for players who won an NBA championship or made an All-Star Game while with the team.”
These two players aren’t getting tribute videos but will they walk away with a win instead?
There won’t be a tribute video for Caleb Martin or Kyle Lowry tonight, for those asking. The Heat reserves those for players who won an NBA championship or made an All-Star Game while with the team.

Martin spent three seasons with the Heat and averaged 9.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game during that time.
As for Lowry, he put up 11.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 5.8 assists during his three seasons in Miami.
They both helped out the Heat a lot but neither won a championship or made an All-Star Game during their Miami tenure and that is why tribute videos aren’t on deck for Monday’s game.
The Sixers are desperate for a win because they have a 2-10 record and it feels that nothing has been going right for them all season long.
Between big injuries and problematic losses, it’s been a difficult 2024-25 so far.
The Heat are in better shape with a 5-7 record but they also have had their fair share of struggles.
That means Monday’s game is important to both teams because they are attempting to build their records and make fans proud.
Martin and Lowry might get a round of applause from the Heat crowd but they won’t get a video celebrating their time with the team.
That might raise the stakes and make this game more exciting.
