This might be the end of the line for Jimmy Butler in the NBA.
He’s not getting any younger, and with all the bridges he’s burned throughout the course of his career, he needs to make things work this time around.
Fortunately for him, he feels right at home in the Bay Area.
In a recent interview, the former Miami Heat star raved about the Golden State Warriors, gushing about their championship-caliber organization and how good he feels there (via ClutchPoints).
"I'm so happy over there. [Warriors are] top-notch. I get to play with Steph [Curry] so I'm a fan of him, just like 99.9% of the world and a chance of winning a championship, what more can you ask for?"

Of course, that’s usually how things start before the train goes off the rails.
Then again, everybody knows they need this to work.
The Warriors’ front office traded for him despite all the risks that came with him because they truly felt like they could make another championship run during Stephen Curry’s prime.
That might be either this season or the year after it.
Butler will make a lot of money, and as such, there will be steep expectations for him.
He holds himself to a high standard, and he’s the kind of hard-nosed leader and competitor who won’t hesitate to get in anybody’s face.
That might be just what this team needs after going up and down throughout the course of the season.
Butler is one of the best playoff performers in the game, and he’s a proven stopper.
His fit in the offense is questionable, to say the least, but great players usually figure out a way to be impactful.
Whether he’ll be the answer to the fans’ prayers remains to be seen.
