The New York Knicks seemed to be in control of the game vs. the Atlanta Hawks.
Then, a second-half rally had Quin Snyder’s team getting the last laugh.
Trae Young did Trae Young things, scoring 22 points and handing out 11 assists to clinch a spot in the NBA Emirates Cup semifinal.
Then, as the clock struck zero, he stepped on the Knicks logo and pretended to shoot dice, infuriating the fans as he referred to his upcoming trip to Las Vegas.
It didn’t take long before the clip went viral, and some fans took offense.
Jalen Brunson, however, had a different take on it.
When asked about Young’s antics, Brunson claimed that the team should’ve won the game if they didn’t want him to do that (via Knicks Videos).
Jalen Brunson was asked about Trae Young rolling dice on the Knicks logo while dribbling the clock out:

It’s actually as simple as that.
The Knicks were on top for most of the first half, and they could never get back on track after the Hawks’ defense closed out on them in the third quarter.
They couldn’t get open shots and weren’t tough enough in the paint, raising concerns about Karl-Anthony Towns’ ability to dominate physical play below the rim.
Trae Young usually saves his best for the Knicks.
He loves being a villain and the most hated guy in the Big Apple.
So, if the Knicks don’t want him to poke the bear and tease the fans, the only thing they can do is beat him.
