The Philadelphia 76ers’ bold move to acquire Paul George last summer generated significant buzz across the NBA.

Fresh off an All-Star season and his most efficient campaign yet, George’s addition alongside Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey had fans dreaming big.

However, health concerns that shadowed this talented roster have unfortunately become a reality, with injuries testing the team’s resilience throughout the season.

Now, Paul George faces yet another physical challenge, though he’s showing remarkable determination to stay on the court.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, George is battling through tendon damage in his left pinky finger.

Rather than sitting out, he’s opted for injections before games over the past four or five contests, demonstrating his commitment to the team’s success.

“[George] has had little nagging injuries that have come up. Most recently, he’s had tendon damage in his left pinky that he’s been fighting. He’s been doing everything he can to be on the court and to try to be available. I’m told it’s to the point where he’s gotten injections to play and compete over the last four or five games. Now, that’s something that players do come playoff time, not necessarily during the regular season,” Charania revealed on NBA Today.
