To say that Jimmy Butler’s NBA career has been a roller coaster might be an understatement.
The veteran small forward was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in 2011, making quite the on-court impact with the organization.
He has bounced around after getting drafted, spending time with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers, and most recently, the Miami Heat.
Butler is a great player when he’s on the floor, but he’s battled some recent injuries and has struggled to get along with teammates throughout his career.
With this in mind, fans might not be surprised to hear that he’s frustrated with his current situation in Miami, and it’s not a secret that he’s looking to move on via trade.
Several potential suitors have been listed to this point, but Shams Charania recently indicated that his preferences are the Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, and Golden State Warriors.
.@ShamsCharania with the latest on the Suns being added as a potential trade destination for Jimmy Butler:
– Phoenix joins the Mavericks, Rockets and Warriors as teams Butler would be open to playing for.
– Shams says keep a “very close eye” on the Suns as a real suitor for… pic.twitter.com/2X5SIrgQtc

All of those potential teams are slated to be in the playoffs, but at this point in the year, it’s nearly impossible to predict if the current standings will hold firm.
Butler is seemingly looking to a greener pasture with a new team, and it will be interesting to see what happens over the next few months.
Veterans without rings like Butler tend to get more impatient toward the end of their careers, and if he thinks he has a limited opportunity to win a championship with the Heat, it might not be worth his time and energy anymore.
