The 2024-25 NBA season has been brutal for the Milwaukee Bucks so far, as they’ve both struggled on the floor to come together as a unit while not having Khris Middleton available to play.

Middleton hasn’t played a game this season, but that could change in the near future as he continues his rehab from ankle surgeries that have kept him sidelined.

He appears to be nearing his long-awaited return to the lineup, which reportedly could happen after the Thanksgiving Day holiday.

“Critical step for Khris Middleton,” ESPN insider Shams Charania said. “I’m told for the first time in this rehab process from bilateral ankle surgeries, Khris Middleton completed full five-on-five scrimmages on Monday with the Bucks in Miami. The team is hopeful that he’s going to be able to make his season debut at some point after Thanksgiving.”

Although the Bucks have been struggling, they have begun to turn things around as of late, working their way back up the Eastern Conference standings.

The Bucks are 8-9 after winning four straight and seven of their past 10 games, with Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo seemingly starting to figure things out.

If the Bucks can continue to play well and get Middleton back in the mix sooner rather than later, Milwaukee might be able to salvage this season and get back on track as a potential contender in the East.
