The friend, British actress Amanda de Cadenet, made a bold comment on Instagram, stating that a report about Jackman "running off with his mistress" was "on point.
Deborra-Lee Furness and Hugh Jackman have since separated, confirming in a joint statement that they had grown apart and are now looking to chase their "individual growth."

Furness' friend De Cadenet added fuel to the rumors that Jackman had an affair with his "The Music Man" co-star, Foster.
On Instagram, she left a comment under a video post by gossip blogger Tasha Lustig, who claims that Jackman left his wife, Furness, for a "mistress," Foster.
"You are on point with this one," de Cadenet responded. "My beloved friend Deb is about to have her glow up any moment FYI !"
Due to the wild speculations being made in the video by Lustig, de Cadenet's response raised eyebrows about the true reason why Furness and Jackman called it quits on their almost 30-year marriage.
Furness also liked the post, further signifying that infidelity on the part of Jackman may have played a major role in the breakdown of their relationship.
Sutton Foster 'Is The Reason' Hugh Jackman Ended His Marriage To Deborra-Lee Furness
According to US Weekly, a source shared that Jackman and Foster's alleged romance was the reason the actor ended his marriage to Furness in September 2023.
"Sutton and Hugh's relationship is the reason Hugh and Deb got divorced," the insider told the publication.
They noted that the relationship was an open secret among Broadway insiders who knew Jackman and Foster when they starred in "The Music Man" in 2022.
The source also confirmed that the romance did "overlap" with the period the "Deadpool and Wolverine" star was still married to Furness.
They added, "A lot of people on Broadway knew, and we kept it quiet because both of them are so nice and great people. Everyone respected their privacy. But there was an affair and overlap."
"They are really happy now," the source added, about the Broadway stars who have yet to confirm their relationship.

In Hollywood, relationships are not known to last long; however, Jackman and Furness spent almost three decades together as a married couple.
Regarding the years they spent together, a source noted that the "Logan" actor's alleged affair with Foster hurt Furness.
"For a woman who's been in a marriage for 27 years who then discovers her partner was unfaithful and isn't trustworthy, it's a pretty devastating life experience," Furness's friend told the publication.
They added, "I think many people were shocked he could do this to her, especially as she's the mother of his children, and they've navigated three decades of life together. A little respect may have been in order."
Jackman and Furness first met on the set of "Corelli," an Australian TV show, immediately fell in love and married on April 11, 1996. They are the adoptive parents of Oscar and Ava.

Jackman and Furness announced their separation in a joint statement shared with People Magazine.
The former couple noted how grateful they were to have shared almost thirty years, noting that they were now looking to pursue their "individual growth."
The statement read, "We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth."
It continued, "Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives."
Sutton Foster Has Also Filed For Divorce From Her Husband, Ted Griffin
For her part, Foster has since filed for divorce from her husband, Ted Griffin.
According to reports, the divorce is uncontested, which means neither party is divided over issues such as child support, property sharing, and alimony.
The former couple married in October 2014 in a private ceremony in California. A few years after they tied the know, Foster and Griffin adopted their only child, Emily in 2017.
