It didn’t take long before LaMelo Ball proved to be a unique NBA player.
He took the league by storm right out of the gate.
His flashy moves and passes and his unconscious shot-making, which some claimed wouldn’t translate to the pros, made him one of the finest entertainers in the game.
That was at an all-time high this season.
Unfortunately, once again, injuries may have gotten the best of him.
According to a report by Marc J. Spears, the Charlotte Hornets announced that Ball would be re-evaluated in two weeks after being diagnosed with a left calf strain.
Hornets say LaMelo Ball has been diagnosed with a left calf strain. He will be reevaluated two weeks from the date the injury occurred on 11/27. Additionally, further evaluation of Tre Mann’s low back soreness has been diagnosed as disc irritation.

Calf injuries are tricky; some might lead to more serious ailments.
Given the Hornets’ subpar record and Ball’s history of injuries, they would be wise to err on the side of caution here.
Ball has missed plenty of time during his young career.
Just like his older brother, Lonzo, he can’t seem to stay healthy.
Some believe that has a lot to do with the reportedly faulty BBB shoes his father, LaVar, had them wearing earlier in their careers.
Ball dropped the then-defunct brand to sign with Puma but struggled to shake off those woes.
Despite his team’s disappointing record, Ball played like an All-Star starter this season, averaging 31.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 6.9 assists, 1.1 steals, and 4.7 three-pointers per game.
Hopefully, this won’t be a long-term issue or lead to more injuries, as the game is always better when he is on the court.
