It’s become painfully clear that Stephon Marbury really doesn’t like LeBron James.

He has said he’s not a James hater, but he continually makes statements criticizing the Los Angeles Lakers superstar.

The latest comment was about James’ ability at the free throw line, and, according to Whistle, via Legion Hoops, Marbury is not impressed by what James does from the charity stripe.

Marbury said:

“I never seen Jordan or Kobe shoot an airball at the free throw line. Have you?… He shouldn’t even be mentioned in the same breath as Michael Jordan.”

Marbury’s comment wasn’t because of a recent game or incident but rather years of trouble shooting free throws.

James has a career free throw percentage of 73.6 percent, which is lower than many other players.

For example, Kobe Bryant shot 83.7 percent from the foul line during his career.

He has certainly missed a few important shots over the years, and Marbury has been taking note.

However, Marbury said he doesn’t have an issue with James missing free throws.

Instead, he is upset to see him completely airball and miss the basket entirely.

Someone in the NBA shouldn’t be doing that, according to Marbury, especially if he is repeatedly compared to Michael Jordan and Bryant.

This isn’t the first time Marbury has called out James, and it’s obvious that he has many issues with the star.

Recently, he called James out for winning MVP at the Olympics, something he said the Lakers icon didn’t deserve.

Is Marbury being too harsh, or is this all appropriate?

No matter what people say, he likely won’t stop talking about James any time soon.
