The dismantling and rebuilding of the Brooklyn Nets may continue over the next several weeks and multiple stars could be leaving.
One player to keep an eye on is Cameron Johnson, who has been at the center of trade rumors for weeks.
Now, a new potential trade suitor has emerged for Johnson: the Indiana Pacers.
Brett Siegel is reporting, via Legion Hoops, that the Pacers and Nets are having conversations.
He said:
“Conversations between the two sides led to whispers around the league of a potential package featuring Obi Toppin, Aaron Nesmith, at least one unprotected first-round pick, and other draft assets.”

Johnson remains Brooklyn’s big trade asset.
He is averaging 19.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game this season and is gaining a lot of attention as the Nets’ brightest star.
That means he could be Brooklyn’s best chance at receiving a big haul, so do they really want to make a deal with the Pacers or wait to see what other teams might come forward over the next few weeks?
The NBA trade deadline is now a month away and the Nets will have to weigh all their options with Johnson and any other players they wish to trade.
Last week, it was reported that the Nets aren’t content with a slow rebuilding process.
Instead, they want to work quickly and are interested in talent and picks that can help them start winning again as soon as possible.
This is not going to be a slow process for Brooklyn and they will consider that when they contemplate any trade for Johnson.
The Pacers can offer a lot, but will it be enough for the Nets and their ambitious plans?
