Jimmy Butler was struck with another suspension from the Miami Heat a few days ago, this time for insubordinate conduct, including missing Wednesday night’s flight to Milwaukee.
Former player Channing Frye opened up on the “Road Trippin” podcast and revealed what he has heard about this suspension.
“From what I heard, the team waited for him on the tarmac for several hours, not knowing where he was. And he said to them, ‘Oh, I’ll meet you there,'” Frye said, via Legion Hoops.

If this really was Butler’s behavior, it is quite egregious and a good reason to be hit with another suspension.
It shows that Butler doesn’t really consider or care about this team, despite what he recently said.
During his first suspension, Butler made it clear that his problems weren’t with his teammates but with the management of the Heat.
However, if he is missing flights and holding up his fellow players, that could rub the rest of the Heat the wrong way.
At this point, it is very obvious that Butler wants to be far from Miami and he will play hardball in order to make that happen.
If the Heat think this is the last time he will act like this, they will likely be proven wrong.
The team is working to find a suitable trade partner to get rid of Butler, but that process is difficult and takes time.
Until then, how will Butler act, and will more suspensions come?
There was a time when some fans thought Butler would have his Heat jersey retired or could even get a statue celebrating his time with the team.
Because of the ugly end of their partnership, that doesn’t seem possible now.
