Right before the trade deadline last month, there was a flurry of rumors around Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns.
Durant eventually never left the Suns but apparently the Minnesota Timberwolves were angling to acquire him.
New reporting from Michael Scotto, per Evan Sidery, sheds light on what the Timberwolves were offering.
Apparently, they were willing to include Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo in a deal for Durant.
However, they were not willing to discuss trading Anthony Edwards or Jaden McDaniels in the deal.
Additionally, it should be noted that Naz Reid “drew interest” from the Suns as part of a potential Durant deal.

Although the Suns didn’t ship Durant out in February, it seems likely that they will in the summer.
And that means the Timberwolves might get another shot at landing Durant.
Reid is another NBA player who is a part of much speculation about his future.
Most people agree that he will decline his $15 million player option and Minnesota will lose him in the offseason, so he could be part of a Durant package.
It sounds like the T-Wolves have some options and assets that could send them Durant.
He might be a perfect fit in Minnesota alongside Edwards, McDaniels, and others, but the Suns will surely drive a hard bargain in negotiations.
They are ready to turn the page and start a new chapter without Durant but they want to get the most value out of him in a trade.
Even if Randle and DiVincenzo don’t go to Phoenix, they should be names to watch during the summer.
The fact that they are a part of this rumor proves they are expendable to the Timberwolves and could be playing their final season for them.
