Jimmy Butler wants to leave the Miami Heat and the team is eager to get rid of him.
But Butler and the team’s front office are coming to a tough conclusion: their dream trade package doesn’t exist right now.
Speaking on “First Take,” via NBACentral, Brian Windhorst talked about the difficulties facing Butler and the Heat.
He said the current offers for Butler “stink” and the Heat are now planning for this situation to last until after the recent suspension comes to an end.

It’s not for lack of trying, and the Heat really are trying to unload Butler on another team, but they just can’t make it happen right now.
Butler wants to get paid, and the only team willing to give him what he desires is the Phoenix Suns.
But the Suns are having a very difficult time putting the right package together for Butler.
This entire situation has become a very big mess for everyone.
Butler isn’t happy because the Heat didn’t give him a contract extension, and he’s not satisfied with his role on the team.
The seven-game suspension that was just handed down surely made things worse and it’s not clear how the two sides could ever mend fences and work together again.
But it’s also not clear how a team can come forward and make a trade possible.
The trade deadline is still a few weeks away and some front offices might get nervous, which would make them more willing to offer more.
However, right now the Butler drama in Miami is set to continue until after the suspension is over.
