Ben Sheppard To Miss Multiple Weeks With Oblique Strain
The Indiana Pacers continue to take hits on the injury front. Ben Sheppard is going to miss "weeks, not days" according to Pacer coach Rick Carlisle. Sheppard is dealing with a strained left oblique muscle, which he injured on November 17. The second-year wing had taken on an increased role for Indiana over the last couple of weeks. The Pacers are still dealing with long-term absences for Aaron Nesmith and Andrew Nembhard. Carlisle said before Sunday's victory over the Washington Wizards that there is no update for either Nesmith or Nembhard. Indiana also has both Isaiah Jackson and James Wiseman out for the season due to torn Achilles' tendons.
