kicker reports that Bayer Leverkusen are set to part ways with kit manufacturer Castore at the end of the season and will profit greatly from their new supplier.
The British company has failed to provide Leverkusen with the necessary kit numbers due to delivery problems, as Die Werkself experienced an increase in demand due to its undefeated domestic season. This gave Leverkusen a reason to exit their five-year deal which they signed in 2022.
Leverkusen are not the only side Castore have had problems with. The quality of the kits is said to be poor with badges of teams falling off of their kits.
New Balance is said to be the company that will now provide Leverkusen’s kit from next summer onwards. Leverkusen are set to receive a seven-figure fee from the American company with a fee of €6-7m earned annually from a five to six-year deal.
Adidas were also said to be interested in resupplying Leverkusen once again. The German company were their kit manufacturer from 1976 until 2016 where they were replaced by Jako.
