Speaking on talkSPORT Drive alongside Darren Bent, the presenter pointed to the Reds’ recent 6-3 win at Tottenham as a indicator of the huge attacking threat United will face. Goldstein said: “This weekend, and I’m not joking here, but Man United are playing Liverpool, I think the best team on the planet at the moment. “We saw that when they went to Spurs, [they] scored six goals against Spurs, who were weakened by the way.” He continued: “But having said that, it was at Spurs. This is at Anfield.” Goldstein then reminded co-host Bent of another day to forget for United in recent years, when they were thrashed 7-0 at Anfield in March 2023, and asked him if he felt a worse result could be on the cards this weekend.
