WBD, NBA Settle Lawsuit; 'Inside The NBA' To Air On ESPN/ABC Beginning In 25-26

Warner Bros. Discovery and the NBA have settled their lawsuit with Disney agreeing to license the TNT show "Inside the NBA" featuring Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal to ESPN and ABC starting next season the key point of the agreement. WBD's digital platforms, Bleacher Report and House of Highlights, will also continue to have access to NBA content. The company will also continue to run the NBA's digital operations including NBA TV for the next several years. Additionally, WBD will retain the ability to develop new shows with NBA content in the United States and abroad, plus international NBA rights in parts of Northern Europe and Latin America (excluding Mexico and Brazil). WBD had alleged that the NBA violating a matching-rights clause with TNT by making a deal to broadcast games on Amazon's Prime Video. The NBA agreed to new broadcast deals with ESPN, NBC and Amazon at nearly $80 billion over 11 years. WBD's settlement runs 11 years to coincide with the deals in place with ESPN, NBC and Amazon.
