Wayne Rooney admits he’d like to partake in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, but an appearance isn’t imminent. The Manchester United legend’s wife Coleen is currently starring in this year’s edition of the hit TV show set in the Australian jungle. He then spoke to the show’s companion programme I’m A Celebrity… Unpacked to review her efforts down under so far. “She’s a nice person, a warm person, and a very caring person, and I think that’s coming across,” he said via The Sun. “You know, I think she’s probably in the middle of the older ones and the younger ones, so she’s probably bridging that gap little bit. “But I think she’s absolutely shown her personality, her character, and I think that’s coming across strong. It’s great to see her in there and see us settling in as well over the last few days.” “We always said that if we were ever going to do one, that’s the one we’d do,” he added. “And obviously Coleen’s gone out there to test herself.” Presenter Joel Dommett then questioned Rooney’s use of ‘we’ in his answer and asked if the England icon would ever sign up himself. “Maybe, if I’m not working,” he admitted. “It’s something I would like to do, but at the minute, obviously, that’s not possible.” Should Rooney ever head to the jungle, he’d follow fellow ex-footballers including Ian Wright, Jimmy Bullard and Dennis Wise. However, the 39-year-old is currently preoccupied with his managerial career at Championship side Plymouth Argyle. Coleen revealed during the week that Wayne shows his romantic side by writing poems for her, which received adoration from campmates.
