Vivek Ranadive Preferred Hiring Mark Jackson Over Mike Brown In 2022

Jackson was head coach of the Golden State Warriors when Ranadive was a minority owner of that franchise. Several NBA sources have maintained that Ranadive prefers a former player serve as head coach. With Brown now fired as head coach, the Kings have elevated Doug Christie. Christie is a former player and broadcaster with the Kings and will get a shot to win the job. Ranadive has previously hired coaches with ties to the Warriors in Michael Malone, Luke Walton and Alvin Gentry, in addition to Brown.
