A Minnesota Vikings fan went to extreme measures to troll Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. on Sunday.

A picture was taken of the fan stood on the concourse watching a screen before kickoff at U.S. Bank Stadium.

The fan, despite being a Vikings supporter, was wearing a Falcons jersey. But instead of having Penix Jr. on the back, he had a crude alternative made.

The jersey read ‘Penis Jr’, a play on the rookie quarterback’s name in a brutal dig at the Falcons youngster.

Penix was drafted eighth in a quarterback-rich draft class earlier this year that saw Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye go 1-2-3.

Penix is still waiting to get significant action in the NFL though and once again watched from the sidelines as the Falcons lost 42-21 in Minnesota.

He has featured in just two games, completing three of his five attempted passes for 38 yards.

Penix, a lefty, is diving into his role as backup and learning everything he can from Kirk Cousins, who signed a four-year, $180 million contract with Falcons in March, about a month before Atlanta stunned the NFL by selecting Penix in the draft.

He’s spending his game days on the sideline listening on the headset, and trying to envision what he would do in certain situations.

Sam Darnold threw for 347 yards and five touchdowns, both career highs, as the Vikings pulled away from Kirk Cousins and the Falcons for their sixth straight victory.

Darnold added another highlight to his brilliant first season in Minnesota following the departure of Cousins with a 22-for-28 performance and no turnover-worthy plays despite heavy first-half pressure.

Darnold passed for 250 yards after halftime to help the Vikings break a 21-all tie early in the fourth quarter and stay one game behind NFC North-leading Detroit with a final-week matchup looming with the Lions.

Jordan Addison had eight catches for 133 yards and three scores and Justin Jefferson racked up seven receptions for 132 yards and two touchdowns after going the past six games without scoring.

Cousins threw two more interceptions without a touchdown in his return to Minnesota.

He was greeted by loud boos and left with Atlanta’s fourth consecutive loss to tumble out of first place in the NFC South and fall one game behind Tampa Bay.

With calls for rookie first-round pick Penix Jr. to start growing louder, Falcons coach Raheem Morris said he has no plans to bench Cousins.
