Torino’s negotiations with Chelsea for midfielder Cesare Casadei are progressing, with the Italian club pushing hard to secure the former Inter Milan player. In a significant development, Casadei has given his approval for the transfer, prioritizing a move to the Serie A side.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Chelsea’s asking price for the talented midfielder is reported to be around €20 million, including a buy-back clause in their favor. Torino, however, have currently offered €12 million plus a percentage of any future sale.
While there remains a gap between Chelsea’s demands and Torino’s offer, both parties are expected to work towards finding a middle ground. New contacts between the clubs are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday to further discuss the terms of the deal.
Casadei’s willingness to join Torino has given the Italian club a significant boost in their pursuit. The Granata have been aggressively courting the player, demonstrating their strong interest in bringing him to Turin.
This season, following a successful spell with Leicester City in the Championship, Casadei has been integrated into Chelsea’s first-team squad. Although he is yet to make his Premier League debut, the young Italian has featured six times for the Blues in the EFL Cup and Conference League.
