Tom Brady fires back at Eli Manning after former rival brutally trolled the NFL legend's 'thirst trap'

Tom Brady hit back at Eli Manning as the two former quarterbacks hilariously reignited their on-field rivalry online.

The pair may be both retired from the NFL and embarking on their fledgling media careers but that hasn’t stopped them exchanging trash talk.

Brady, 47, shared a shirtless photo to social media Monday as the NFL great soaked up some sun in between calling games for Fox.

However, it wasn’t Brady’s blatant thirst trap that earned him a ribbing from Manning. Instead, Manning appeared to take issue with size.

The seven-time Super Bowl winner posed on a boat, showing off his prized catch, which appeared to be a snapper.

‘Cute Minnow, Tom!’ Manning posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, alongside Brady’s shirtless snap and another of himself proudly holding up a much larger fish that he had reeled in.

After Manning attempted to one-up him on a fishing boat, Brady had the perfect football reference to fire back.

Quote-tweeting Manning’s post, Brady replied, ‘You use a helmet to catch that one too?’

Brady was, of course, referencing David Tyree’s iconic ‘Helmet Catch’ in Super Bowl XLII, which clinched a narrow 17-14 win for the New York Giants and stripped the New England Patriots of their perfect season.

The wide receiver made the miracle catch in the dying minutes of the showdown to result in a 32-yard gain, which set up the winning touchdown hauled in by Plaxico Burress with 39 seconds remaining.

The back-and-forth is just the latest installment in the storied rivalry with Manning’s two Super Bowl rings coming at the expense of Brady and the Patriots.

Four years after dramatically ending the Patriots’ undefeated season in 2008, Manning defeated Brady again, this time in Super Bowl XLVI 21-17.

Back in September, the two-time Super Bowl winner swapped one type of football for another to mock Brady.

Manning jokingly became a fan of Wrexham Football Club – the Welsh soccer team owned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney –  days before they faces Birmingham City – the team in which Brady owns minority stake.

‘Now I can beat @TomBrady in football and fútbol,’ he wrote on X, alongside a photo of himself in a Wrexham jersey.
