GET £30 IN FREE BETS WITH TALKSPORT BET Bet of the day Under 2.5 goals in QPR v Middlesbrough @ 4/5 Struggling QPR had a golden opportunity to beat Championship leaders Sunderland at Loftus Road on Saturday, but despite racking up 60 per cent possession and 17 efforts on goal, Rangers were unable to break the Black Cats down. Jobe Bellingham’s second-half red card handed the Hoops their chance, but the goalscoring issues of Marti Cifuentes’ men were there for all to see. Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Sunderland made it only six goals in ten matches for Rangers and neither Zan Celar or Michael Frey look capable of making a regular goalscoring impact at the head of QPR’s attack. Cifuentes has seen six of Rangers’ last eight matches go under 2.5 goals and QPR haven’t scored more than two goals in any of their 16 games this term. Middlesbrough may prove too strong for the Hoops on Tuesday night, but it’s unlikely to be a runaway victory for Michael Carrick’s side. Boro have notched only seven goals in six away Championship games and backing under 2.5 looks the best bet on Tuesday evening’s card. Special of the day Leverkusen to beat Liverpool @ 17/5 Arne Slot couldn’t have asked for a better start to his stint in charge of Liverpool and the Reds moved to the top of the Premier League table when beating Brighton at the weekend. However, that was a fairly fortunate success and the 2-1 Anfield victory followed a tough EFL Cup tie against the Seagulls. Slot’s side were involved in a fiercely contested 2-2 draw with Arsenal prior to the pair of matches against Brighton and Liverpool’s fuel tank may be straying into the red. Leverkusen have stuttered a little at the start of the domestic campaign, but Champions League victories over Milan and Feyenoord suggest that there is still a very good team at the BayArena and the recent schedule of Xabi Alonso’s men has been a lot less demanding. At 17/5, Leverkusen look a pretty tasty big-priced punt. Long shot of the day Watford or draw double chance v Swansea @ 4/6 It hasn’t been all plain sailing for Watford under rookie boss Tom Cleverley, but it has been a broadly positive campaign for the Hertfordshire side and the Hornets should be buzzing after last weekend’s 6-2 victory over Sheffield Wednesday. The Golden Boys have beaten the Owls, Sunderland, Blackburn, Millwall and Middlesbrough this season and it’s clear that Watford have what it takes to compete with the Championship elite. Swansea have won only one of their last seven second-tier matches, and although the Swans are a tough side to break down, it’s just three goals in seven games for the Welshmen. There is enough in the prices to think the Hornets can avoid defeat on the trip to south Wales.
