Ricky Gervais couldn’t help but poke fun at Roy Keane after his appearance on The Overlap. The comedy legend was a special guest on the hit show and shared stories from his career so far, including the creation of The Office and his similarities with Manchester United legend Keano. During Sky Sports’ post-match coverage of Sunday’s draw, the 53-year-old was spotted walking over to an Ipswich fan at pitch side. In footage, he could be seen pointing and exchanging words with a supporter. This came during a commercial break, with the confrontation lasting just a few seconds. As reported by the Daily Mail, another fan in one of the upper tiers at Portman Road was heard shouting ‘F*** you Keane!’ A separate video posted on social media offers a closer view, with a fan heard saying: “You’re a better pundit than you was a manager.” Keane responded by getting in his face, where he replied: “I’ll wait for you in the car park!” Keane confronted an Ipswich supporter following the 1-1 draw with Man Unitedhttps://x.com/adenLFC4life https://twitter.com/rickygervais/status/1861857661504852236 He was then ushered away as he carried on his punditry duties alongside former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp. Keane was appointed as Ipswich’s manager in April 2009, taking the job after leaving Sunderland. He left with a win record of 29 from 81 matches in all competitions, with 24 of those draws and 28 defeats. Keane has only worked in assistant roles since leaving Ipswich, doing so with Ireland, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest.
