Claudio Ranieri won’t face limitations concerning the utilization of Paulo Dybala. A few more appearances will trigger an automatic option to extend his contract for one extra season, until 2026, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll stay put next summer, Calciomercato informs.

La Joya missed the last two matches due to his latest thigh ailment. He’s been managed throughout the break and has yet to train fully under the new boss, but he should be able to do so as the Napoli clash approaches.

Dybala will be handled carefully due to his recurrent physical problems rather than for other reasons. He’s eight matches away from obtaining the renewal, which will happen barring a serious injury. Considering that the bonuses he earns compound with his salary each year, he’ll make €9M in 2025/2026, which might be too much for the management’s liking.

The Argentine was one step away from going to Saudi Arabia in the summer. He changed his mind after accepting a three-year, €75M contract, while Roma had yet to concur to the fee. The MLS will be a more likely destination at the end of the season.
