Rockets Are Reportedly Interested In Suns Star

The Phoenix Suns are not the team they want to be, and they are willing to make some changes before the upcoming NBA trade deadline.

So far, there hasn’t been any talk of Devin Booker leaving the team.

However, Tim MacMahon is reporting, via NBACentral, that the Houston Rockets “let it be known” that they’re fans of Booker.

The Rockets are making it clear that if the Suns want to trade Booker, they’d be more than willing to talk.

But that doesn’t mean Phoenix will budge on their stance about Booker.

Booker has been the most consistent part of the Suns’ roster for years and is currently averaging 24.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game.

Although the Suns are willing and eager to make changes, it seems unlikely that they’d deal Booker away.

With that being said, if they aren’t able to make any other changes and the Rockets propose a very exciting deal, the Suns might sit down and at least have a discussion.

Phoenix is strapped for cash and having a difficult time trading away Bradley Beal and Jusuf Nurkic.

In other words, they are running out of options.

The front office is eager to keep Kevin Durant and Booker, but they may need to change their position if other deals don’t come together.

However, that will likely be their last resort, and they will continue to hold onto Booker.

The idea of Booker leaving Phoenix still feels a bit far-fetched, but the team is in a tough spot with very few options.

The Rockets probably don’t think they’ll convince the Suns to give up Booker, but they want it to be known that they’re ready to discuss it.
