Milan Skriniar’s situation at Paris Saint-Germain has become increasingly precarious. The former Inter Milan defender was excluded from the squad for PSG’s crucial match against Lyon, alongside teammates Randal Kolo Muani and Presnel Kimpembe. This decision by coach Luis Enrique was purely tactical, not related to any physical or disciplinary issues.
Calciomercato report how Skriniar, who nearly moved to Saudi Arabia last summer, appears to be out of Luis Enrique’s plans. This season, he has played just 380 minutes across five appearances in Ligue 1 and has been an unused substitute in all six Champions League matches. His future in Paris looks increasingly uncertain.
Juventus have been actively seeking defensive reinforcements, especially after injuries to key players like Bremer and Cabal. Sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has not ruled out a move for Skriniar, stating, “We’re looking around, as the January market is unique. We’re evaluating various situations, but it’s too early to make decisions.” Skriniar’s Serie A experience makes him an attractive option for the Bianconeri.
Napoli is also considering a January bid for Skriniar. Sporting director Giovanni Manna is monitoring the ex-Inter defender’s situation, along with other options, to potentially provide new coach Antonio Conte with a defensive reinforcement. Napoli is seeking a cost-effective solution, and Skriniar could fit the bill if PSG agrees to a loan deal and contributes to his substantial wages of 9 million euros net per season plus bonuses.
Meanwhile, Kolo Muani is also facing challenges at PSG. The 26-year-old French striker has rarely started this season and was unused in recent important matches, including the Champions League victory against Salzburg. With just two goals this season, his role in the squad is under scrutiny. According to reports, a January transfer could be possible if a convincing offer arrives, with several Premier League clubs monitoring his situation. Kolo Muani is under contract with PSG until June 2028, but a loan with an option to buy could be an ideal solution for all parties involved.
