Premier League reaction as leaders Liverpool pull clear & struggling Man Utd lose

As a fan it's going to be frustrating, because you keep seeing the same things again and again. And, for a club that wants to progress, to win something, to be serious, like Liverpool and Man City that they're chasing, it just shows how far away from it they are with that performance.

Tottenham’s Premier League matches under Ange Postecoglou have seen an average of 3.6 goals scored per game. Among those to take charge of 50+ games in the competition, this is the highest goals per game rate for any manager.

They can't defend. They are just horrendous.

The best thing for Ange [Postecoglou] is that he's probably going to get to the end of the season.

He put himself under pressure by saying he always wins a cup in his second year.

Tottenham better hope that they win some kind of cup, because finishing in the top four this season is just not going to happen.

So the only saving grace is if he actually delivers a cup; whether it's the League Cup or the FA Cup or even the Europa League.

But he's got to deliver something because of the words that he put out there.

Tottenham's injury list

Ange Postecoglou has a point when it comes to his defensive injuries.

Spurs are currently without goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, centre-backs Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, and full-back Ben Davies.

Vicario is out until at least March with a foot injury. Romero and Van de Ven have thigh injuries and their return date is not yet known. Spurs are hopefully Davies will return in the next week or two after a thigh issue of his own.

Ange Postecoglou accused Match of the Day's Steve Wilson of discounting the impact of Tottenham's defensive injuries after the Liverpool defeat.
