Lining up for a chip shot 35-yard game winning field goal, the Chiefs blocked the Broncos kick to seal the win and remain perfect.

Each win is starting to feel more improbable than the last.

There’s having fate on your side, having luck…and then there’s whatever Kansas City has going for them.

Coming in with the best record in the entire league at 8-0, the Chiefs were rolling.

They were undefeated and quarterback Mahomes hadn’t even been playing his best ball yet.

That was the scary part.

Perfect, with the best player on the planet not playing up to his lofty standard.

Murmurs of the never-been-done-before 20-0 perfect season grew louder with each week, with each passing win.

Mahomes wasn’t going to be able to claim perfection, accomplishing something that Tom Brady never did.

It was going to end with a short FG by Denver.

A moment later, the kick gets blocked and the flawless record remains intact.

And Kansas City survives.

After the game, Mahomes credited all three phases and how much belief they have in one another.

“It just speaks to this entire team,” Mahomes said.

“Obviously, offensively we didn’t do well enough. I missed that throw in the fourth quarter to help us get the lead.

That’s a sign of a great team.
