Paolo Banchero Not Close To Returning
Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero has hit the six-week mark since he went down with a torn right oblique. Banchero's original return was hoped for in the four-to-six-week range, however the star forward isn't close to returning. "He was not able to practice [today]," Magic coach Jamahl Mosley said Friday. "He's doing the same ball-handling, a little light movement on the floor, and then just trying to find ways to get the cardio up without applying too much pressure. "But again, he's just slowly moving his way to touching the court." Banchero has not played since October 30. On December 7, teammate Franz Wagner was diagnosed with the same torn right oblique injury that Banchero has. Wagner is also facing a four-to-six-week timeline to return.
