Out-of-Sorts Superstar Stays Positive Despite Losing Juventus Starting Berth
Dusan Vlahovic will have to fight for minutes in the second half of the season after Juventus signed Randal Kolo Muani but hasn’t shown signs of malcontent.

Underachieving Juventus superstar Dusan Vlahovic reportedly remains calm and collected despite losing his place in the starting line-up. According to Il Bianconero, the Serbia international ‘maintains a positive attitude,’ even though he’s no longer indispensable in Turin.

Vlahovic’s ups and downs since swapping Fiorentina for Juventus three years ago have become notorious. The 25-year-old has tallied 13 goals and two assists across 28 competitive appearances this season. However, his inconsistency has cast doubt over his first-team prospects.

Tired of Vlahovic’s patchy form, Juventus signed Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window. The Frenchman has hit the ground running from day one, netting five goals in his first three Serie A appearances.

Kolo Muani’s match-winning brace inspired Juventus to a 2-1 win at Como on Friday, cementing his place in Thiago Motta’s starting XI. Meanwhile, Vlahovic appeared frustrated on the bench after falling behind the PSG loanee in the pecking order.

Vlahovic is unwilling to let his current situation at Juventus affect his professionalism. Indeed, he’s maintaining a good relationship with his clubmates in the locker room and intends to keep a positive outlook, suggesting he’s prepared to fight for his place in the team.

Meanwhile, his contract at Juventus runs out in 2026. Unless his situation improves in the remaining part of the season, a summer exit could be on the cards, considering the record-time Italian champions would hardly let him leave for free after splashing out north of €70 million to secure his signature.
