‘One hell of a player’ – Liverpool talent reminds ex-Chelsea star of ‘young Steven Gerrard’

Conor Bradley has similar attributes to legendary Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard when he was an up and coming prospect. That’s the view of ex-Premier League star Tony Cascarino, who believes the Reds right-back could become one of the best in the business. Despite Trent Alexander-Arnold being their go-to right-back, the 21-year-old has demonstrated his quality when deputising for him. Alexander-Arnold’s continuous links with a move to Real Madrid mean Bradley looks set to become Arne Slot’s chosen man in the role. And that won’t be any bother for Liverpool according to former Chelsea striker Cascarino, who supports the Reds, and he pointed out the similarities with club icon Gerrard. “He reminds me of Steven Gerrard. Skinny, long legs, aggressive, but plays as a full-back,” he said on Weekend Sports Breakfast. “I mean, Steven Gerrard played right-back for Liverpool as well, he has done that role. “But he reminds me of that desire and hunger to get there, travels across the ground really quickly. “Not got the same quality as Trent, a player that can be creative, but he’s not far short, he’s going to be one hell of a player.” Bradley has made 19 appearances for Liverpool this season although was absent over the festive period due to a hamstring injury.
