Torino have officially announced the contract renewal of midfielder Samuele Ricci, extending his contract with the club until June 30, 2028. This new agreement solidifies Ricci’s position as a cornerstone of Torino’s future plans.

Born on August 21, 2001, in Pontedera, Ricci’s football journey began in the youth academy of Empoli. He made his professional debut with the Tuscan club in the 2019/2020 season in Serie B. After two successful campaigns in the second tier, where he amassed 62 appearances and scored 2 goals, Ricci played a crucial role in Empoli’s promotion to Serie A.

In his inaugural Serie A season of 2021-22, Ricci quickly made an impact, featuring in 21 matches and scoring once between August and January. His impressive performances caught the eye of Torino, who secured his services midway through the season.

Since joining the Granata, Ricci has become an integral part of the team, accumulating an impressive 97 appearances and contributing 4 goals.
