The Philadelphia 76ers haven’t had the start to the season they hoped for.

They were expected to rival the Boston Celtics for the top spot in the Eastern Conference.

Unfortunately, Paul George, Tyrese Maxey, and Joel Embiid have been missing time.

Moreover, Maxey reportedly called out Embiid for his constant tardiness, and with the way everything has unfolded this season, some believe this might be the beginning of the end for the former MVP in Philadelphia.

Should that be the case, the Indiana Pacers would be the likeliest destination for Embiid, according to Bovada and NBA Central.

It would be odd to watch a former MVP landing with a small-market team.

Then again, we know Daryl Morey is a ruthless negotiator, so he likely won’t consider Embiid’s interests in a potential trade.

The Pacers are reportedly very interested in acquiring Embiid, and they have more than enough young players and draft capital to trade for him.

They’ve also reportedly shopped Myles Turner for years now.

Embiid is one of the best players in the league, but he has yet to prove that he can be healthy when it counts.

He might not even be able to play in back-to-backs again, so he might not be worth the risk, at least for the Sixers.

The Pacers, on the other hand, can potentially still field a competitive team without him and hold onto the hope that he will be healthy enough to show up in the playoffs.
