They head into a road matchup against New England knowing they cannot afford to drop another loss if they want to win the NFC West. They are two games back from the Cardinals and one back from the 49ers who have just welcomed back their most elite player in Christian McCaffery. Dynamic duo Pukka Nuka (98 yards) and Cooper Kupp (80 yards) were both effective in the receiving game on Monday, and the Rams will aim to continue to utilise them. While the Patriots were able to maul rookie QB Caleb Williams with 9 sacks on Sunday, Matthew Stafford is a veteran and should prove a more formidable foe. Miami Dolphins (3-6) to beat Las Vegas Raiders (2-7) Miami are coming off an untidy victory in LA on Monday night, and will be looking to show more of themselves against one of the worst teams in the league the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders defence has been dreadful in recent weeks and has given up 27+ points in four of their last five games. On offence it’s also been a struggle, they turn the keys back over to Gardner Minshew on Sunday who seems to have little confidence from his coaching staff, and is assisted by the 32nd ranked rushing offense in the league. Feels like a get right game for the Miami Dolphins who will try to keep their slight wildcard chances alive by seizing their fourth victory of the season. Cleveland Browns (2-7) to beat New Orleans Saints (3-7) Two underperforming teams battle on Sunday as the Browns take on the Saints. On paper it looks a tough one to call, however due to Cleveland coming off their bye week, I’m going to give the edge to the road side Browns. The Saints finally broke their losing streak last week with a 20-17 victory over Atlanta. They will have to be thankful to Falcons kicker Younghoe Koo who missed three field goals last week. They did find an asset in journeyman receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling who scored two touchdowns. Browns QB Jameis Winston was excellent against the Ravens and terrible against the Chargers, and it’s always a coin-flip which Jameis turns up. This week he faces a team he knows well, as he was Derek Carr’s back up last two seasons. Banking on Head Coach Kevin Stefanski to have prepared his squad to secure their third victory. Pittsburgh Steelers (7-2) to beat Baltimore Ravens (7-3) In the pick of the 6pm fixtures we have chosen the Pittsburgh Steelers to make a huge claim on the AFC North by defeating their rival Baltimore Ravens. While it is daunting to pick against likely MVP Lamar Jackson, he has struggled in against the Steelers losing three of his last four against them. In those games he has thrown seven interceptions and has had an average passer rating of 66.8. The Steelers have an excellent defence and will be prepared to take on the dual threat QB. Furthermore, it is easy to see the boisterous home crowd making a difference and causing issues to the plays reaching Jackson. The Ravens defence has also struggled in recent weeks and conceded 26+ points in their last four games. They now face the resurgent Russell Wilson who has been 3-0 as a Steelers starter. It feels a game that is bound to be close and likely clinched with the last play of the game, will give the edge to the home side.
