Matheus Cunha and Omar Marmoush are among 11 players to have their position changed ahead of the upcoming Fantasy Premier League launch.
With the start of the 2025/26 Premier League season now just three weeks away, fans of the official fantasy football game are already eagerly awaiting its arrival.

FPL has now officially launched ahead of the brand new season.
And as is the case every year, FPL managers will have several new features to consider as they go for glory.
Ahead of its return, the game’s official social media account started to reveal some of these updates to come in 2025/26, with positional changes catching the eye.
The reveal series confirmed that 11 players will see their positions changed ahead of the start of the upcoming season.
These changes will impact how these players score points, and what they will be awarded for various contributions.
Among the big names to be reclassified in FPL this year are Manchester United new boy Cunha, Manchester City star Marmoush and West Ham talisman Jarrod Bowen.
Previously classed as a forward with Wolves, Cunha will now be viewed as a midfielder following his £62.5million move to Old Trafford.
The Brazilian operated as a number 10 at Molineux last term, scoring 15 goals and providing eight assists, and is expected to fulfil a similar role under Ruben Amorim next term.
In Cunha’s case, his shift in position means he will now score one more point for a goal, and will receive a point for clean sheets.
Marmoush has undergone the same change, who will be available as a midfielder this season after previously being classed as a forward.

Meanwhile Bowen, who netted 13 Premier League goals in the 2024/25 campaign, has been switched from a midfielder to a forward.
Elsewhere, Arsenal starlet Myles Lewis-Skely has been changed to a defender instead of a midfielder following his impressive displays at left-back last term.
Lewis-Skelly isn’t alone here, with Brentford’s Keane Lewis-Potter, Man City duo Nico O’Reilly and Matheus Nunes, as well as Wolves’ Rodrigo Gomes also being classified as defenders now.
And it isn’t just positional changes which have caught the eye, with the FPL price reveals for some huge names also exciting fans.
Mohamed Salah (£14.5m) and Erling Haaland (£14.0m) will be the two most expensive players in 2025/26 FPL.
Salah’s huge fee represents a highest-ever opening cost for a midfielder in Fantasy, bettering the £14.0m of Cristiano Ronaldo in 2008/09.

This comes after the Egyptian smashed the record for the most points in a season last time around.
An electric individual campaign saw Salah finish on 344 points, after he netted 29 Premier League goals and laid on a further 18 assists.
Among the other early price reveals are England and Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, who starts the new season at £5.5m.
Meanwhile, Liverpool new recruit Florian Wirtz will cost £8.5m at the start of the season following his British record transfer.
Man City left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri, who signed from Wolves last month, will be priced at £6m, while Newcastle goal machine Alexander Isak starts at £10.5m.
