Wrexham midfielder Ollie Rathbone was taken to hospital after their pre-season defeat to Sydney FC.
The Dragons lost 2-1 to the Australian outfit in the second match of their tour Down Under, but the match was overshadowed by a potential injury blow to Rathbone.

On the stroke of half-time, the 28-year-old went down in a lot of pain after a collision with a Sydney defender.
Rathbone injured his left ankle following an awkward landing, and looked to be in a lot of pain.
The Dragons star could be seen holding his ankle, and later hobbled off the pitch after receiving treatment from the team physio.
But this was clearly a worry for Wrexham, with Rathbone later being taking to hospital to undergo an X-ray.
News of this was confirmed by manager Phil Parkinson shortly after the final whistle.
And Wrexham will certainly be hoping that Rathbone’s injury doesn’t cause him to miss the start of the new season.
The north Wales outfit will play in the second tier for the first time since the 1981/82 season in August, after clinching promotion from League One last term.
This was due in no small part to Rathbone, who played a key part in the successful campaign.
He scored eight goals and provided two assists in 41 league appearances in last term, which was his first at the club.
Rathbone made the move to the Racecourse Stadium in August 2024, having been signed by Wrexham’s Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

And fans were quick to express their fears after learning of the injury sustained by their star man.
Taking to X, one fan wrote: “Please please please be OK!!!”
Another concerned supporter admitted: “Not good at all.”
One more commented: “This is not good. One of the best players on the squad who plays with a lot of pace.
“An ankle injury is one of the worst things that could happen with three weeks to go to [the] start of the Championship.”
Since being purchased by A-list actors Reynolds and McElhenney back in November 2020, Wrexham have enjoyed a meteoric rise through the divisions.

Promotion from League One in April marked the Robins’ third straight promotion, who now sit just one division below the Premier League, despite playing in the National League as recently as 2023.
They will kick off their first-ever Championship season away to to former Premier League side Southampton on August.
