AJ McLean made sure opening night at the Sphere was a family affair.

On Saturday, July 12, McLean’s estranged wife Rochelle McLean shared a photo of the pair and their daughters, Elliott and Lyric, at the famed Las Vegas venue for the opening night of the Backstreet Boys’ residency.

“Opening night @spherevegas was really something special,” she wrote via Instagram. “All I can say is that it is really something you have to see for yourself. Bravo boys! You, your team and your crew pulled off the most spectacular show I’ve ever seen!”

The pair, who have been coparenting their daughters since their 2024 separation, were all smiles in the latest snapshot.

In June, AJ exclusively told Us Weekly the family is “doing good.”

“We are coparenting to the best of our ability, and we both have a lot of growing to kind of still go through, but I think we are moving in a really positive direction,” he told Us.

AJ also said that no matter what, the pair will always be linked through their children. “We have a family together that’s obviously not going anywhere,” he explained. “We have been spending a lot of time together as a family and, you know, her and I going out on dates here and there.”

The separation has changed everything, he added. “Fingers crossed that everything works out in the end, but either way, we’ll always be close and love each other and be the best parents we could be for our girls.”

AJ and Rochelle married in December 2011. In March 2023, they confirmed to Us that they had decided to “separate temporarily to work on ourselves, and on our marriage with the hope of building a stronger future.”

In January 2024, the pair said that they had decided to “officially” end their relationship. “It is with deep love and respect that we have made this decision,” they explained.

But in September 2024, AJ told Us he is hopeful they will eventually reconcile. “I think we’re in the best place we’ve almost ever been. So, you know, there’s high hopes for the future. Who knows?” he said.

The Backstreet Boys announced the group’s residency at the Sphere via Instagram in February 2025. The initial “Into the Millennium” slate of shows was scheduled for nine dates in July and has since been extended well into the month of August.
