Adam Levine won’t be adding to his body art collection.
“I covered up my sleeve with another sleeve. Who does that? What is wrong with me? Psychotic,” the Maroon 5 frontman, 46, jokingly said of his latest tattoo during the Friday, July 11, broadcast of the Today show. “It really hurt. I’m kind of done with the pain, I’ve decided. … Now, I’ve softened.”
He added, “Now, when I get a tattoo, I’m like, ‘This hurts so badly.’ Like, ‘What’s wrong?’ We’re done.”
Not only is the process quite painful, but Levine said that he is “running out of room” for any new tattoos to fit.
“I like the ones on my hands. I like them all,” he said, noting that it was too difficult to pick a favorite tattoo.
Adam Levine's Hotness Evolution
Levine got his first tattoo back when he was 21, going on to get more pieces of body art in different areas on his hands, back, chest and more. Despite his affection for the art form, he did clarify that he won’t get anything permanent on his face.
“This message is for my mother. I do not have a tattoo on my face. Those who know me know that I am too vain,” he wrote via his Instagram Stories in 2021, responding to speculation that he had gotten his face inked. “I am too f***ing vain to get a tattoo on my face. I’ll tattoo the rest of this, but no, the face has gotta stay the same.”

While face tattoos are out of the question, Levine is not opposed to getting inked in the name of love. He previously got a “you’re so cool, you’re so cool, you’re so cool” tattoo on his bicep, matching wife Behati Prinsloo’s own version on her ribcage.
“We first got it together when we got married,” Prinsloo, 37, told Entertainment Tonight in 2016, going on to praise his major back tattoo. “It’s kind of an old school, Sailor Jerry kind of vibe, and him and his tattoo artist just worked on it for a really long time. I approve!”
