Wrestler Stuart Smith, also known as Syko Stu, ‘remains in good spirits’ following his altercation with Raja Jackson.
That’s according to a statement from Smith and his family, which has confirmed the 44-year-old has been sent home from the hospital and is recovering a week after he was attacked by the son of UFC legend Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson.

Raja, 25, entered the ring during a match of Smith’s in a move many fans thought was part of the show.
But the professional MMA fighter proceeded to abruptly floor the wrestler, before unloading a barrage of sickening punches on the already unconscious American, who was left motionless on the canvas.
The incident caused public uproar, with the Los Angeles Police Department now investigating it and Raja facing potential criminal punishment.
Following the act, former UFC light heavyweight Jackson released a statement that claimed Smith was ‘awake and stable’ after the attack from his son, although nothing had been confirmed.

On Sunday, Smith, alongside his wife, Contessa Patterson, cleared up any doubts over the wrestler’s health with a lengthy post on Instagram.
“Stuart has been released from the hospital and is now home resting,” their statement read.
“He sustained a serious head injury and was unconscious upon arrival at the ER.
“His injuries include trauma to both the upper and lower jaws, a laceration to his upper lip, and a fracture to the maxilla bone, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of several teeth.
“He has a long road of recovery ahead, but he remains in good spirits despite everything he has been through.
“We are deeply grateful for all the love and support we’ve received during this time.

“Thank you to everyone who has contributed in any way—whether through monetary donations, food, flowers, or gifts. Your kindness means more than words can express.
“From the bottom of my heart, thank you.”
Members of the MMA fraternity have been calling for Raja to face serious punishment ever since the incident.
Former UFC title challenger Kevin Lee called for Jackson to ‘turn your son in,’ while ex-UFC lightweight Josh Thomson said Raja is ‘going to jail for a long time.’
But UFC middleweight star Sean Strickland believes the 25-year-old should avoid prison.
“What people don’t understand by not trying to rehabilitate these people, you are making many more victims in the future,” he concluded in a social media post.
