Kate Middleton has a new look, but not everyone's feeling it.

The Princess of Wales joined her husband, Prince William, and their three children for a church service yesterday, where she debuted what seem to be blonde locks.

However, many royal fans took to social media to share their mixed reaction, with some noting that Kate Middleton is probably "adjusting for going grey."

Kate has made headlines for her new look after she recently debuted a much lighter shade of hair color, which is a departure from her usual darker brunette tones.

The future Queen was pictured on Sunday attending a church service at Crathie Kirk, the traditional royal church near Balmoral Castle, alongside her husband, Prince William, and their three children, Prince George and Louis, as well as Princess Charlotte.

William drove the family to the location as Kate comfortably sat in the passenger's seat with her hair looking a few shades lighter than it used to be.

Alongside the couple, King Charles, Queen Camilla, and The Princess Royal were also seen heading to the church as part of their Bank Holiday weekend.

Kate's new look sent fans into a frenzy as they took to social media to share their mixed reactions.

On one side, many fans welcomed the change, while others claimed it may be because she's adjusting to grey hair.

A fan wrote, "She looks so pretty! I wish it were a dark shade of blond, though, like a honey color or something. She's a doll!"

Another fan noted, "Looking forward to seeing more pictures to hopefully get a better looksie. Kate is gorgeous, but I suspect I'll prefer her as a brunette. She's stunning with dark brown hair!"

Someone else said naysayers should cut her some slack, arguing that she had "a terrible couple of years," especially with her cancer diagnosis and the fact that "she's got a 12-year-old boy (those that have had one or have one know what I'm talking about lol) probably stressing her out."

Meanwhile, some argued that there must be a reason why she decided to adopt the new look.

One Reddit user wrote that Kate's new look "could be baby steps in a transition to grey."

"I agree with others, I don't think I'm a fan of the new color, but I love that she's experimenting with new looks!!!" another user penned.

"It looks really bad through the glass, like a jarring contrast with her skin. Hope it looks better without that tint in the way!" someone noted.

Some harsh commenters slammed the Princess of Wales for the new change, arguing that it "washes her out," unlike her iconic brunette locks.

It comes as reports suggest William is moving his family from their Adelaide Cottage to the 8-bedroom Forest Lodge in Windsor, Green Park.

According to The Sun, sources say the family is hoping for a "fresh start" after a difficult time at their previous home.

However, Royal commentator and journalist Robert Jobson told the news outlet's "Royal Exclusive Show" that the father-of-three should be ''careful'' of what he wishes for.

In his conversation with the news outlet, royal Editor Matt Wilkinson said that Prince William could ''become less connected to the people" as a result of the move.

''People do turn out when they see, particularly people like Sophie Wessex and the new Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Edward," the source noted,

''They turn out in droves. They like that connection. And if you lose that connection, the monarchy actually loses something that it's about," they added. "I think you've got to be careful what you wish for."

Prince William Is Focusing On His Family

With William's reign possibly years away, sources have shared that for now, he's just concerned about "focusing on his young family" with Kate Middleton.

''Remember, Charles as King doesn't have a very young family that he has to make sure he's at home when they get back from school [...] - that's what William enjoys," Matt Wilkinson said.

"He enjoys the school run, and he wants to bring his children up in the countryside," the insider noted. ''His life is very different from what King Charles' is."

Wilkinson added, ''I know the late Queen Elizabeth II [...], she worked extremely hard when she was bringing up her children, but that's what William perhaps is choosing not to do."

"But it's a different era as well," he added.

The royal expert went further to share that William has "got to be quite careful" about balancing things out as "the role of the monarch is one where duty has to come first."
