NBPA To File Grievance To Dispute Jimmy Butler Suspension
The National Basketball Players Association will file a grievance to dispute Jimmy Butler's seven-game suspension by the Miami Heat, sources told Brian Windhorst and Shams Charania of ESPN. "The 7-game suspension imposed tonight by the Miami Heat on Jimmy Butler is excessive and inappropriate, and we intend to file a grievance challenging the discipline," said the NBPA in a statement. Charania adds that due to the grievance process being lengthy, it is unlikely to stop the suspension.
