Daniel Maldini has been linked to a few top Serie A sides already, but, despite selling him outright last summer, Milan still hold the cards in some fashion. They’d have an advantage if they decided to bring him back. The Rossoneri are thinking about it considering his growth, La Repubblica informed.
Monza CEO Adriano Galliani stated that the attacker would finish the campaign in Brianza. His release clause will come into effect only next summer. He has scored once so far, coming close on several occasions.
Milan will have the right to match the offers for Maldini, plus they are entitled to 50 percent of the fee. Since his fixed price tag for Serie A teams will be €12M, they’d be able to sign him for €6M. He’d be a bargain and also address a need, as they don’t have a proper Christian Pulisic deputy.
The youngster was quizzed about such an eventuality in Coverciano, as he’s been called up by Italy in the last two international breaks. He sidestepped the question, simply stating that everything was possible concerning his future.
Our Take on Milan and Maldini
He’d be a good addition as they don’t have a lot of depth at the position, he’s versatile, and Samuel Chukwueze is chronically inconsistent. Plus, he’d be very cheap and is a home-grown player, and they have constant problems with the lists. On the other hand, the way his father was ousted might have poisoned the well for good. He’d obviously have to okay his next destination and won’t lack options.
